| | 7. Statement of intended use and details of the requested easement to be sold. |

| CenterPoint Energy’s purpose for this project is to increase the reliability of power in the area, automate power restoration, and eliminate load limitations on the City of Houston’s (COH) existing facility located on 2804 Huffman Eastgate. CenterPoint Energy’s new facilities will tie into the existing overhead on Huffman Eastgate.
Addition of an Alternative Electrical Source: Ultimately, the plan is to extend a new circuit from FM 1960 in the south through this easement up to Huffman Eastgate Rd. Once there is a new circuit on the Huffman Eastgate, the existing facilities along Huffman Eastgate will be replaced with a new circuit, providing an alternate electrical source to the City of Houston facility at 2804 Huffman Eastgate.
Increase Reliability and Automate Power Restoration: These new facilities are an integral part of CenterPoint Energy’s larger, comprehensive, long-term scheme that will automatically restore power remotely when possible. Currently, the COH’s facility is connected to two sets of line fuses which are single event protection devices; therefore, any outages requires a trouble shooter to drive out and manually restore service. Once the new facilities are in place, power is automatically restored remotely when possible, and the number and duration of power outages to the COH’s facility would be greatly reduced.
Eliminate Load Limitations: Currently, the COH is limited in how much load can be added to the existing facilities due to the wire size on Huffman Eastgate. However, the new facilities would eliminate that load limitation.
